VIDEO REPORT ON THE CLEVELAND CLINIC HOTEL

The Cleveland Clinic Hotel, a Growth Series Investment, is fully booked for this summer's Republican National Convention, despite not officially opened its doors to the public until May 2016.The brand new Holiday Inn is modern, contemporary and state-of-the-art.

Workers recently completed the final touches on the property on Euclid Avenue, which features a high ceiling lobby, restaurant bar and lounge, outdoor patio with fire pits, and indoor pool. The hotel manager says it has "all the bells and whistles".

The 9-story, 276-room Holiday Inn was built on what is considered to be historic property. Once the Church of the Transfiguration, the Cleveland Clinic purchased the property for $1 million, then built the hotel from the ground up.The hotel is part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group.

The new Holiday Inn increases room inventory in the greater University Circle area by 33%, enabling the Cleveland Clinic and nearby cultural institutions to attract more out-of-town visitors, including Republican National Convention goers.

Soft opening expected at the end of April 2016, with an official grand opening scheduled for May 8, 2016.
